Scheduling brides, trials, emails, phone calls, staying up to date on new trends, typing timelines for the event, deep cleaning and disinfecting tools is just some of the many things that keep me busy professionally. Weddings are not for the weak of heart and can be very time consuming. That is where I come in and it’s kept me very occupied. Many pandemic brides have scheduled their weddings and events for this upcoming year and we live in an era where social media has increased the need of looking perfect on your wedding day. The wedding industry is booming for 2022. Here we are today!Īlright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally? I saw where I could flourish and planted myself there. Another push that inspired me to build Makeup Artistry by Carla was the need of specialized bridal artists in the industry. I saw the benefits of being your own boss and having the creative liberties to take your career where you want to without having limitations. I have learned to look at progress and not perfection but constantly challenging myself to be the best version of myself I can be. I also come from a driven and entrepreneurial minded family. It wasn’t easy but you can’t have success without mistakes. It took many years of reading, taking courses, studying, videos and practice to get to where I am today. I am proud that I can cater to the personal needs of each client without them feeling limited. My goal is to provide that glamorous feeling to all women, no matter the age, skin type, or racial background. I knew I wanted to provide that feeling to others. They would feel more confident and happier. There was something magical about transforming someone and how it wasn’t a superficial change but their view of themselves would transform as well. I would rewind and play them as much as I could. It all started as a child who had an obsession with makeover scenes in movies.
